Year 8 is a time for students to consolidate their friendships and learning. The Stage 4 booklet has a range of information that is appropriate for Year 8 students as well as Year 7 students and can be downloaded from the Stage 4 page.
Equipment required for Year 8 (including stationery) can be found in the Stage 4 booklet and is identical to the equipment required for Year 7.
During Term 3 of Year 8, students will have the opportunity to choose some elective study units (in addition to the compulsory subjects) which are run as semester courses. There will be an information evening towards the end of Term 2 (please see the school calendar for date) and the process is organised by the Stage 5 Head Teacher.
Year 8 have the opportunity to participate in a range of activities as part of their curriculum such as the CTHS athletics carnival in Term 1, CTHS cross country in Term 2, as well as lifesaving and the CTHS swimming carnival in Term 4.
